Expenses can be claimed from the date of commencement of your employment with Locums Limited, also they should have been incurred in the current tax year.

Yes, you will need to send us the original receipts for the expenses claimed or forward us the e-receipt if available. We will provide you with prepaid envelopes to post back original receipts and there are no additional charges for the same.

Timesheets need to be submitted to Locums Limited as soon as you finish your locum and we will forward it to your agency on the same day along with an invoice to avoid delay in payments.

Tax code will be applicable on the basis of P45/P46 received.

Calculation of Tax as per Financial Year 2013/14

You will be paying 12% of Employee’s NI and in case you are doing a full time NHS job and part time locums you can reduce your NI to up to 2% by applying for NI deferment. Please call us 01756 703 881 for more information.

As per the HMRC, every employer has to pay Employers NI of 13.8% and the hourly rates provided by the agency include the Employer’s National Insurance Contribution.

Once we receive your payments from the agency it will be processed on the same day through BACS provided we also have your expense claim form and receipts. The payments will be credited in your account in next 2 working days.

Yes, a payslip with detailed breakdown is emailed to you on the same day as your payments are processed.

Yes, as long as the statutory requirements are met, you will receive these benefits.

Your account remains active with us as long as you are doing locums and using our umbrella services. In case you are not working with us for a continuous period of 12 weeks we will issue a P45. If you plan to use our services again, simply send us your recent P45 or P46.
